Your San Diego Super Bowl food guide

We bring you to a couple of the tastiest restaurants in San Diego that offer the best Super Bowl grub.

SAN DIEGO — It's that time of year again. It's the Super Bowl! Time to get your friends and family together, sit on the couch and dig in to the tasty eats.

First stop is Cali Comfort BBQ in Spring Valley.

"One of the things about craft barbecue [is] it takes a ton of time and a ton of expertise," said Shawn Walchef.

Cali Comfort has expertise in spades, slow roasting meats for hours before serving them, making them a perfect option for Super Bowl Sunday.

"Sunday is such an important day for the American household," said Walchef. "No matter what teams are playing, it's an important time to just get together and enjoy great food."

What if you're feeling something completely different from the typical Super Bowl fair? Something like quinoa chorizo? Leila Caldera at the Trilogy Sanctuary wants to put some plant power into your Super Bowl Party with vegan meals.

"The whole meal is plant based," Caldera said. "You'll be getting a lot less fat. It's very easy to digest. You'll feel really, really light and not heavy."

If you do feel like cooking from your own kitchen though, here's a recipe that's easy and delicious to make:

1 Chicken breast

1 cup of ranch dressing

1 cup of buffalo sauce

1 8oz block of cream cheese

1 container of blue cheese

Bake the chicken at 400 degrees. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and mix. Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred it. Combine the rest of the ingredients and bake. Remove when bubbly and smooth.
