Six people were rescued from a minivan stuck on a flooded road near the Fashion Valley shopping mall Friday, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

A swift-water rescue team, including several fire engines, was dispatched to Avenida Del Rio near Camino De La Reina around 5 p.m., after being called by passengers, SDFD said.

The driver attempted to maneuver through about three feet of moving water caused by heavy rains this week, SDFD said.

There were no injuries reported, according to SDFD.
