Three lanes of southbound Interstate 5 near Tamarack are blocked Wednesday morning, after a big rig overturned just after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Two people were injured in the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Paramedics reportedly took both victims to the hospital.

As of 8 a.m., a SigAlert was still in effect with only one of the freeway's four lanes open to traffic, the CHP reported.

Traffic was also backing up on westbound Highway 78, which feeds into Interstate 5, according to the CHP.
