A Border Patrol helicopter has crashed near the San Onofre nuclear power plant. Three people onboard the chopper were hurt.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the helicopter was forced to land before 8pm in shallow water near the plant. An investigation is underway to find out why the crash landing happened.
The three people onboard are believed to have minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. Aerial video from a news helicopter showed the tail of the helicopter was broken off of the main cockpit.
