SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - San Diego drivers can now renew their vehicle registration and license plate sticker instantly at a Ralphs Grocery store on Carmel Mountain Road by using the DMV Now Self-Service Terminal.

The DMV Now Self-Service Terminal kiosk is also available at California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices in Chula Vista, El Cajon, Oceanside, San Diego-Clairemont, San Marcos and San Ysidro.

To conduct a transaction, individuals need their vehicle registration renewal notice or most recent vehicle registration card. The kiosk at Ralphs Grocery accepts credit/debit cards and soon, cash. Instructions are provided in English and Spanish.

The DMV expects to have 165 kiosks installed at DMV offices, grocery stores, libraries and AAA auto clubs by the end of the year.
