CHULA VISTA (CNS) - Mattress retailer Sleep Train has signed a five-year naming rights deal with concert promoter Live Nation for the 20,000-seat amphitheater in eastern Chula Vista.

The now-former Cricket Wireless Amphitheater will be known as the Sleep Train Amphitheater, the two companies announced.

"We are proud to expand our partnership with Live Nation to become the title sponsor of this venue," according to Dale Carlsen, Sleep Train founder and CEO. "It allows us to deepen our connection with the San Diego area community and extend the reach of our award-winning Foster Kids program with the addition of in-venue events."

According to the announcement, Sleep Train will hold two donation events at the 15-year-old amphitheater to collect pajamas, shoes, clothing, school supplies and gifts for foster youth.

The venue was originally known as the Coors Amphitheater until Cricket Wireless purchased the naming rights.

Sleep Train has naming rights on three other Live Nation venues and recently placed its name on the sports arena in Sacramento.
