The trial of Frank White, the officer accused of shooting Rachel Silver and her eight-year-old son in a road-rage incident, is scheduled to continue on Monday.

San Diego police officer White, 29, opened fire on Silva's car in an Oceanside parking lot on March 15, 2008. Off-duty at the time, White fired five shots into the car, claiming his life was in danger.

White testified that he did not know the child was in the car at the time of the shooting.

Closing arguments are expected to take place this week. White could face nine years in prison.
