Hit-and-run driver leaves trail of destruction in Southcrest

One person was injured and taken to the hospital, but officers have not confirmed whether the victim was a pedestrian or in one of the cars that was hit.

SAN DIEGO — Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver Thursday in the Southcrest area.

The incident happened just before 7 a.m. The driver hit several parked cars at 37th Street and National Avenue, according to San Diego police.

One person was injured and taken to the hospital, but officers have not confirmed whether the victim was a pedestrian or in one of the cars that was hit.

A Sig Alert was issued, and National Ave. will be closed from 35th St. to 36th St. for several hours, according to California Highway Patrol.

The incident remains under investigation.
