SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A sedan tumbled off an overpass near SeaWorld San Diego and onto the street below, killing the 40-year-old man behind the wheel, police said Tuesday.

The Toyota's driver apparently lost control on West Mission Bay Drive shortly before 8:30 p.m. Monday, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.

The car careened off the roadway and fell about 20 feet onto the transition road from southbound Ingraham Street to Sunset Cliffs.

The driver died at the scene, Delimitros said.
