A high-speed car chase in Carlsbad ended Wednesday with the arrest of two men.

The chase began just after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 5. According to Carlsbad police, they tried to pull over a Toyota Camry for speeding, but the driver refused to pull over.

Speeds reached as high as 90 miles per hour.

During the chase, the driver slammed into a patrol car and almost ran over a motorcycle officer.

A pit maneuver ended the chase in a residential neighborhood, but not before the driver hit a parked truck.

The driver and a passenger in the Camry both had outstanding warrants.
