SAN DIEGO - If you are a Veteran, there are no clear pathways to becoming an entrepreneur, but here's an encouraging statistic: California has the largest Vet-owned business in the country -- In California alone, there are 250,000 and counting Vet-owned start-ups!
San Diego is lagging, yet we have one of the largest military concentrations. This coalition event is being put on by a consortium of many local agencies coming together to bring resources for a common purpose to give Vets, active military and spouses the local resources they need under one roof to set them up to be successful.
Join like-minded individuals for the 2018 Military, Veterans, & Spouse's Entrepreneur Summit on Saturday, September 15th, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Liberty Station Conference Center.
This year’s summit will feature a “Pitch Off Competition” in front of angel investors where the winner could walk away with a $10,000 prize.
Attendees will learn about starting a business, financing a business, growing a business, doing business with the government, and franchising. There will also be networking with local veteran entrepreneurs as well as nationally renowned speakers, including Liz Perez, Deputy Secretary of Minority Veterans California Department of Veterans Affairs.
The summit will provide extensive resources to help Veteran’s stay connected and be inspired, and the attendance is expected to sell out. With 300+ in attendance, early registration is encouraged.
Fees are $35.00 to register (free for military active duty – use discount code: Msummit2018). Registration includes continental breakfast and lunch.
