SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A remembrance ceremony will be held at the county administration building Wednesday to honor fallen local law enforcement officers.
Tuesday night dozens of people attended a candlelight vigil on the lawn, next to the memorial listing the names of officers killed in the line of duty.
The event also featured a slide show of fallen officers.
“Let them know that their loved one, who paid the ultimate price and was killed in the line of duty, that they're still not alone, that we will remember them,” said Skip Murphy with the San Diego County Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation.
A breakfast is being held Wednesday morning for officers, honored families, and past survivors. The remembrance ceremony is scheduled for noon.
