#Giving Tuesday: Making meals for seniors with Jewish Family Services

But, did you know today is "#Giving Tuesday?" A day dedicated to giving back to others.

Here's a meatball recipe that's worth sharing on Giving Tuesday!

Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

• 1 large onion, 1/4-inch dice

• Salt, pepper to taste

• 2 cloves garlic, smashed and chopped

• 1 1/2 pound ground beef

• 2 large eggs

• 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley leaves

• 1 cup breadcrumbs

• 1/2 cup water

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, mix meat and wet ingredients, salt and pepper until well blended.

2. Add remaining ingredients and mix for one to two minutes more.

3. Roll into a small balls (about the size of a golf ball) and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 375°for 20 to 30 minutes.

4. Cook for another 30 minutes in any marinara sauce of your choosing.

5. Serve Meat balls on a bed of spaghetti or any pasta you desire.
