SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A group of men in San Diego assaulted a pair of men near University avenue, leaving the victims with non-life threatening stab wounds, a police officer said Sunday.

The group walked up to the pair of victims about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3900 block of Wabash Avenue, made some comments and then attacked them, said San Diego police officer David Stafford.

A 21-year-old man suffered two stab wounds to the chest and one to the shoulder, and a 29-year-old man suffered four stab wounds to the back and one to the chest, Stafford said.

Both victims were taken to a local trauma center, he said. Police released no description of the suspects.
