The CDC has reported nearly 19,000 cases of MPX in the U.S. so far, with over 3,800 cases in California.

CALIFORNIA, USA — Officials from the World Health Organization have declared MPX (formerly known as monkeypox) to be a global health emergency. Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency earlier this month, which bolsters the state's response to MPX in an effort to help slow the spread of the disease. 

The CDC has reported nearly 19,000 cases of MPX in the U.S. so far with over 3,800 cases in California. Symptoms of the virus include high fever, swollen lymph nodes, and a widespread rash across the face and body.

Here's a look at how many cases of probable and confirmed cases have been reported in each county across California:
