SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The New Children's Museum in downtown San Diego is scheduled to hold a New Year's Eve bash for kids Friday, a little early so that Saturday night can be left to adults.

The events include a puppet show, a storytelling troupe and musical acts.

The pop acts Pink Army and Rhythm Child will perform, along with the Studio FX dance troupe. Clint Perry & the Boo Hoo Crew storytelling group, and the San Diego Guild of Puppetry, will also appear.

The festivities begin at 11 a.m. and run to 4 p.m.

Other youth-oriented New Year's celebrations are set for Saturday at Legoland California, The Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa, and Boomers! in Vista.
