SAN DIEGO — If you hit the road Saturday morning, you likely noticed a thick layer of fog as you made your way to your destination.

The fog  also pushed the start of the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course,  PGA Tour officials said.

Ryan Palmer was holding a two-stroke lead and Tiger Woods was trailing by six strokes.

The Farmers Open is Woods' first official PGA Tour since winning the Zozo Championship Oct. 27 to tie Sam Snead's record of 82 victories.

Defending champion Justin Rose, three-time champion Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler were among the golfers failing to make the cut.
