A Furry Tail Ending: Helen Woodward Animal Center celebrates puppy prom

The event will feature corsage and bowtie making-stations, opportunity drawings, photos with prom-themed backdrops and delicious treats for all.

SAN DIEGO — It’s prom season right now, but this time it is for more than just high schoolers. This year the puppies from Helen Woodward Animal Center are getting in on the fun. The 7th Annual Puppy Prom: A Furry-Tail Ending will celebrate puppies happily-ever-afters.

The event on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to noon will be held at Casa Sol y Mar. The event is free to all Helen Woodward Animal Center Alumni and all the Center/Kingdom’s supporters of animal rescue, human and canine alike. The event will feature corsage and bowtie making-stations, opportunity drawings, photos with prom-themed backdrops and delicious treats for all.

Casa Sol y Mar will provide light appetizers for the humans with 20 percent of all additional food/beverage sales from the event going back to Helen Woodward Animal Center. The festivities will culminate in the crowning of Best Dressed Prom King and Queen. Interested participants can enter with $10 fee which supports the Center pets and programs.
