SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Susan G. Komen 3-Day started Friday, November 20 with about 2,200 women and men beginning their 60 mile journey to help end breast cancer.
The morning began at 6:30 with the Opening Ceremony. Then walkers wound their way through the Torrey Pines area, Del Mar and La Jolla. The 3-Day ends Sunday, November 22 at Petco Park.
In San Diego, six women are diagnosed each day with breast cancer. Every walker must raise at least $2300 to participate, and since its inception, the 3-Day has raised more than $800 million to find a cure.
