Believe it or not, it's never too early to start training for the 2009 San Diego Breast Cancer 3-Day. Participants got a head start over the weekend for the 60-mile race, even though it's five months away.
On Sunday, News 8's Barbara Lee Edwards was at the New Balance store in Cardiff for a shoe fit clinic. After that, first-timers joined veterans in a three-mile walk to kick off training.
Everyone has their own reasons for joining the Race for a Cure.
"In October I was diagnosed with breast cancer, so I feel I need to give back," walker Denise Buck said.
