SACRAMENTO, Calif. — With more than 800,000 PG&E customers losing power overnight, school districts all over Northern California are canceling classes. But school is back in session for some districts and colleges.
Here's a list of schools that are remaining closed or resuming classes.
UC Berkeley has canceled class Friday and said "staff and faculty should stay away from campus," according to a bulletin posted to the university website.
The Grass Valley School District will remain closed Friday due to the ongoing power outages, according to a Facebook post.
The district said it is "hopeful" power will be restored over the weekend and class can resume on Monday.
The schools and programs in the Grass Valley School District are:
Bell Hill Academy, Grass Valley Charter, Lyman Gilmore Middle, Margaret G. Scotten Elementary, Our Kids Place, Little Learners, Lyman Gilmore school programs, Scotten school programs, and Bell Hill school programs.
In addition to Grass Valley Unified, all four Pleasant Ridge Unified School District schools in Grass Valley were closed Friday. Cottage Hill, Alta Sierra, Magnolia Intermediate and Arete Charter Academy will remain closed until further notice, according to the district website.

Power was restored to the Placer County Office of Education Thursday, according to a Facebook post.
"Let there be light... power has been restored to PCOE facilities in Auburn. We remain open for business," the post said.
Amador County Unified School District
All schools in the Amador County Unified School District were closed Thursday, Oct. 10. It is unclear if school will resume Friday, Oct. 11.
"If there are more related updates, we will provide them," the district said in a Facebook post Thursday.

Chico Unified School District
All CUSD schools were open Thursday, Oct. 10, according to their website.
Calaveras County Unified School District
Students are on fall break until Oct. 18
El Dorado County
The El Dorado Union High School District reopened Friday after power was restored to all sites, according to a Facebook post.
The Gold Trail Union School District is closed on Friday due to lack of power.
Pinewood Elementary and Sierra Ridge Middle School in the Pollock Pines Elementary School District will not have school on Friday due to lack of power.
Folsom Lake College’s El Dorado Center (EDC) in Placerville is closed for all classes on Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12. Folsom Lake College’s main campus and Rancho Cordova Center will remain open.
Folsom Lake will send out a notification via Los Rios Alert on Sunday, Oct. 13 if the closure needs to be extended.
Stony Creek Joint Unified School District
Stony Creek Joint Unified School District will be open Friday, Oct. 11, according to the Glenn County Office of Education's website. Friday will be a "scheduled minimum day."
"With the exception of Fairfield Elementary, which is temporarily closed, at this time all Davis Joint Unified School District campuses and facilities have power and remain open with normal operational hours," according to an alert on the district's website.
Winters Joint Unified School District plans to have school as scheduled on Friday, Oct. 11, according to its website.
The Esparto Unified School District will be open Friday, Oct. 11, according to a tweet.
In a Facebook post, the Solano County Office of Education said its programs would remain open. They advised parents to consider sending students to school with breakfast and lunch items that do not require refrigeration or heat.
All Solano County Community College campuses will "return to business as usual" on Friday, Oct. 11, according to the college's website. Saturday classes will also be held at their regular time and location.
