SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - The ninth annual San Diego Green Homes Tour is taking place on Sunday, and it is your chance to visit 12 of the county's most eco-friendly homes.
In Friday's Zevely Zone, Jeff went to South Park to see a real gem that ten years ago was essentially a tear down.
When Keoni Rosa, an architect, and his husband John moved in the home, the roof leaked in more than two dozen spots. Since the, the home has seen one improvement after another.
Grey water piped form the house now keeps the front and backyards green. The home is now powered by solar panels.
The eco-friendly home is part of the San Diego Green Homes Tour. Adam Pascu said the tour will showcase 12 homes across San Diego County - including one in Campo that is built out of straw bales.
