SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A man is rescued from the water, after jumping from the Ocean Beach Pier in rough surf early Wednesday morning.
San Diego lifeguards went into the water to save the man around 1:30 a.m., and they were able to reach him using a small boat but struggled to pull him from the water due to his size. Then, a second lifeguard came to help in the rescue.
Eventually they brought the man to shore where he was loaded into an ambulance.
Witnesses say he appeared to be drunk.
As of this report, there is no word on his condition.
