SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Police Saturday were still investigating the stabbing death of a man at his home in the Swan Canyon community of San Diego, police said.

Police responded at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a stabbing at a residence in the 2800 block of 46th Street. Police found the victim, 55-year-old Dennis Alan Bertram, stabbed to death, said San Diego police Lt. Mike Hastings.

"The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was in an altercation with another occupant in the residence when he was stabbed," the police lieutenant said. "It has not been confirmed what the altercation was about.

"A 55-year-old person-of-interest is being questioned by detectives regarding the incident," he said.
