SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Mayor Faulconer and other city leaders voiced their opposition to an assembly bill that would create oversight in land use permit decisions.

Assembly Bill 504 calls for non-profits that do permitting work on behalf of city governments to earn final approval from a legislative body, such as a city council.

Civic San Diego is a city-owned non-profit development group, and Mayor Faulconer said Assembly Bill 504 would slow the city's growth.
