SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Federal, state, county and municipal offices and courts will be closed Monday because of the Memorial Day holiday.
In the city of San Diego, that includes administrative offices, libraries and recreation centers.
Exceptions today will be the Miramar Landfill, Chollas Lake, the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center and municipal golf courses -- all open with regular hours. Municipal pools will be open from noon to 4 p.m.
Curbside refuse pickup will be delayed by one day this week. Parking meters in the city of San Diego will not be enforced.
County offices, libraries and animal shelters will be closed today. Also closed will be community and teen centers in Fallbrook, Lakeside and Spring Valley, as well as the Spring Valley Gym.
County-run parks and campgrounds will be open.
Metropolitan Transit System buses and trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule. That means most rapid and rural bus services will not operate. Detailed schedules are available online at www.sdmts.com.
The North County Transit District will also operate its buses, Coaster
train and Sprinter light-rail service on a Sunday schedule.
