SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — The annual Wounded Warrior Soldier Ride kicked off Thursday afternoon with a bike fitting. Bike experts from the organization tuned up the bikes to fit the needs of the soldiers riding roughly 28 miles this weekend on the streets of San Diego.
Many soldiers are dealing with physical and emotional ailments and hope that
this ride gives them strength.
"I think it will challenge me mentally, emotionally and physically," said rider Austin Miller. "I haven't been challenging myself lately."
Miller and 40 other veteran riders rode 14 miles through National City
Friday and will do another 14 Saturday in Del Mar.
