SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - It has been one year to the day since we lost our beloved Larry Himmel.
Our beloved Larry Himmel was a fixture at the Del Mar Racetrack, as well as the community at large.
On Thursday, Larry was honored at one of his favorite places in San Diego, the Del Mar Racetrack. The 6th race was named in Larry's honor.
In addition, his family and close friends announced the launch of a new foundation that ensures his legacy will live on.
