SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - While some people ask Santa for expensive gifts, others hope to get by with the basics.
Now is your opportunity to help them smile through Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child.
Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet the needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine.
There are several drop-off locations open daily in El Cajon, Clairemont, North Park, Lemon Grove, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, Ramona, Oceanside, Carlsbad and Rancho Santa Fe.
National Collection Week ends Monday, November 23.
