SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities asked the public Friday evening to be on the lookout for a 65-year-old Parkinson's disease patient who disappeared last week after walking away from her Bay Terraces home.

Denise Bellefiore, who requires medication and an assisted-living caretaker, has been missing since March 31, according to San Diego police. She has no access to a vehicle and does not know how to use public transportation.

Bellefiore is a 5-foot-2-inch, roughly 135-pound white woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing jeans and a blue sweatshirt when she last departed her residence, stating she was "going downtown," police said.

Anyone spotting a woman matching Bellefiore's description was asked to call SDPD communications at (619) 531-2000.
