ESCONDIDO (CBS 8) - More than 3,000 homes in North County San Diego are without power Saturday, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.
The Escondido outage struck for unknown reasons at 2:11 p.m. and knocked out power to thousands. The areas affected include South Escondido, Del Dios, Lake Hodges area and East Escondido.
SDG&E says it's assessing the outage to determine the cause. Power is expected to be restored around 5 p.m.
