SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - San Diego police officers are investigating a homicide in City Heights.

Police were called after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday regarding a stabbing at a home in the 2800 block of 46th Street known as Swan Canyon.

A 55-year old man was found with stab wounds to his upper torso and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

He reportedly got into an altercation with another person living in the house.

"We do have a person of interest. We are talking here at the scene. He is also in his fifties. And I don't have any more information regarding him until homicide detectives have a chance to get into the scene and then also get into the interviews to ascertain exactly what's occurred here,” explained Lt. Mike Hastings with the San Diego Police Department.

The victim lived in a type of group home. About 10 people were displaced while homicide detectives conducted their investigation. No names have been released, as of this report.
