SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Chula Vista police are on the lookout Friday for a 38-year-old attempted-murder suspect who fled from a team of U.S. Marshals and remains at large.
Alejandro Gutierrez, a suspect in an attempted homicide shooting in Chula Vista just over two weeks ago, was spotted by members of a U.S. Marshals
Fugitive Apprehension Team in the vicinity of Second Avenue and Palomar Street around 6 p.m. Thursday, according to Chula Vista police Lt. Fritz Reber. He ran away and was not located in a subsequent search, Reber said.
Gutierrez is Hispanic, 5 feet 9 and 180 pounds. He has a shaved head, brown eyes and is clean shaven.
Reber said Gutierrez should be considered armed and dangerous. He asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to call police at (619) 691-5151.
