A group of teens learned how to drive safely Sunday in a program that was designed to be a street survival course.

The national program brought its driving course to the parking lot of Qualcomm Stadium.

The instructors teach two main skills: controlling a skid and changing lanes safely to avoid obstacles.

Instructors teach students in their own cars so they can apply what they learn to their experience in the real world.

The program welcomes drivers between the ages of 16 and 21.
