VISTA (CNS) - A DUI checkpoint resulted in two arrests and 18 citations, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said Sunday.
Deputies set up Saturday night's checkpoint in the 900 block of Sycamore Avenue, and also checked drivers' licenses, Sgt. Herman Gonzales said.
Out of 653 cars that went through the checkpoint, 29 were sent for a secondary evaluation. Deputies arrested one person for allegedly driving under
the influence and a second person for alleged drug possession, Gonzales said.
Nine drivers received citations for not having a license, while three were cited for driving on a suspended license.
Gonzales said six people received citations for other types of violations, but no further information was available.
