SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Friends and loved ones pay their respects to two medical students killed in a wrong-way crash along SR-163 over the weekend.

The family of one of the victims spoke out about their loss at the vigil held at UC San Diego.

"Just everything about her is beautiful. She's an amazing woman and I wish she could still be here today,” said Sheldon Cornwell, Madison's sister.

Madison Cornwell, 23, and her classmate Anne Baldock, 24, were killed in the head-on crash the morning of Saturday, May 16.

The 21-year-old Marine accused of driving drunk and causing the crash pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges from his hospital bed Wednesday. Jason King's bail was set at $3 million.

Prosecutors say friends and a bar manager tried to stop him from driving, but their attempts were unsuccessful.

King faces 47 years to life in prison if convicted. His next court appearance is scheduled for June.
