SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Did you know 50,000 San Diego County seniors live below the poverty line and don't have enough food to eat?

The Angel's Depot in Vista is a non-profit that helps by providing a free emergency meal box. CBS News 8's Dan Cohen had the honor of helping the volunteers pack on Monday.

Each box is 24 pounds of food that supplies about 21 nutritious meals and snacks. The Angel's Depot sends the boxes from the warehouse to 900 seniors across the county.

It's a food lifeline to help when the social security and other assistance runs out.
