SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police Saturday were investigating an apparent gang-related attack in which a 19-year-old man was shot in the shoulder by someone in car, then pursued on foot and shot at again.

The man was walking in the an alley in the 3500 block of 44th Street in the city's Castle neighborhood when he was shot about 4:40 p.m. Sunday, said San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The shooter fired the first round while in a silver Ford Taurus, Delimitros said, adding that the victim was expected to survive.
