UC San Diego women’s soccer team ranked #2 in the nation

The team opened the season ranked #3, went 5-0 jumping to #1 but after suffering a 0-0 tie against Cal State East Bay they fell to #2.

SAN DIEGO —

The UC San Diego women’s soccer team is currently ranked #2 in the nation. The team is being led by first-year head coach Kristin Jones, who was an assistant under former coach Brian McManus who was there for 30 years. McManus made the NCAA tournament 28 of 30 years including 16 final fours and seven national championships 

The Tritons opened the season ranked #3, went 5-0 jumping to #1 but after suffering a 0-0 tie against Cal State East Bay they fell to #2. 

They're currently 10-0-1, 5-0-1 in conference with six more regular season games.
