San Diegans kick off National Day of Unplugging

There seems to be growing support for stepping away from technology, at least for one full day.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — Would you be willing to unplug from you cellphone, your television - all of your electronics for a full day? 

It is a sacrifice some San Diego began Friday evening in observance of National Day of Unplugging. The idea is not a new one. In fact, it's the 11th Annual Day of Unplugging, and there seems to be a growing support for stepping away from technology. 

News 8's Steve Fiorina reports from La Mesa's farmer's market where the unplugging began Friday evening.
