(NEWS 8) — Security cameras inside and outside residential properties have become more common in recent years. Just last week, News 8 reported on car thieves in Spring Valley caught on video rummaging through the contents of a homeowner’s vehicles.
Now we’ve got footage of a different kind of thief also courtesy of a home security cam. In the Ring camera footage above a bear in Lake Tahoe is seen opening a rear passenger car door seemingly with ease. The animal then crawls into the backseat and emerges moments later with a plastic bag of food.
The home belongs to an Airbnb host whose renters sent them the video; a good reminder to take precautions and secure trash when wild animals are nearby.
