SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The search is on Tuesday morning for a nursing student from San Diego who went missing in the Bay Area.

Authorities say 26-year-old Michelle Le was last seen Friday around 7 p.m. leaving a class at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward. She had told several classmates she was planning to meet up with a friend and then drive to Reno. However, Le never made it, and her white Honda CRV was found a few blocks away from the hospital's garage where she had parked it.

"Nothing necessarily points to foul play from the outside of the vehicle, but obviously we do want to go inside the vehicle and check for papers for receipts for notes and directions anything that would lead us to Michelle and where she might be right now," Lt. Roger keener of the Hayward Police Department said.

Witnesses say Le left her stuff at work and only took her keys and phone with her to run out to the car. Her phone has been inactive since she disappeared.

Le and her brother grew up in Mira Mesa with their aunt - who have both gone to the Bay Area to help in the search.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for Le's safe return.
