Scripps Ranch pizzeria targeted by criminals for fifth time in six months

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - For the fifth time in six months, a popular pizzeria in Scripps Ranch has been targeted by burglars.

Last Tuesday in the early morning, a man captured on surveillance camera can be seen using a crow bar to pry open a cash register in Pazzo's Pizza, a fixture on Scripps Trail for the past two decades.

According to employee Bill Feather, the suspect made off with about $600 from two different registers.The man, whose face was partially covered by a bandana, is described as approximately 5'10"-6'1", weighing 150-170 pounds with an average build. He was seen wearing a light-colored, long-sleeved hooded letterman-style jacket; long gray pants; and dark shoes with a white sole.

A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information on this burglary that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information can call contact Pazzo's owner at (858) 271-0271 or the San Diego Police Department at (619) 531-2000.
