Water traps workers in Sorrento Valley

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8) - This week's series of storms is creating all kinds of headaches for people across the county.

In Sorrento Valley, flooding was so bad that it trapped several people inside of a business and forced the shutdown of coaster service in that area.

The trouble started when Las Penasquitos Canyon Creek overflowed at around 2 p.m. Thursday, sending water into nearby parking lots and onto the coaster's tracks.

Service was shut down in both directions. Passengers were taken to the Solana Beach train station by bus.

In this News 8 video story, Craig McKee reports on the latest developments.
