SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities released the name Monday of a 52-year-old North County man who died over the weekend in a traffic accident near his home.

Mark Andrew Jones of Ramona was riding in an older-model car that veered out of control at high speed in the 1100 block of Ashley Road shortly before 3:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the county Medical Examiner's Office.

The vehicle careened off the roadway and overturned, ejecting Jones. He died at the scene.

RAMONA (CBS 8) - One person has been killed, in what's being investigated as a felony DUI crash in Ramona.

The single-vehicle accident happened just before 3:30 p.m. on Ashley Road just south of 7th Street.

Three people were in the car that went out of control, skidded into a yard, hit a landscaping wall and overturned landing on its roof.

A passenger who was ejected from the car died. The driver and another passenger were brought to the hospital.

Witnesses say the driver smelled of alcohol.
