SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Eight adults were displaced Christmas Day after a fire damaged their apartment complex.

The blaze was reported at 8:38 a.m. in the second floor of an apartment complex on Adobe Falls Road and Waring Road in the Del Cerro neighborhood of San Diego, a San Diego Fire-Rescue dispatcher said.

Two units sustained heavy fire damage but the blaze did not spread to other floors, the dispatcher said. Crews extinguished the flames about 9 a.m., she said.

It was unknown whether anyone was injured, or what caused the fire. Firefighters were investigating, according to the dispatcher.
