Ways to Make Quick Cash: Get paid to take online surveys

Posted: Updated:

Here's a way to make some quick cash that requires nothing more than an Internet connection and time to spare: taking surveys online.

If you have some extra time during the day, or maybe at night while watching TV, you can earn extra cash by sharing your opinion online.

At CashCrate.com you can earn money by trying offers and products, by taking research surveys, and by shopping online.

The website says it has paid out nearly $4 million to its users since 2006. We tested it out and signed up. A warning: you do get a lot of emails. But if you're willing to take part in some of the offers and surveys it can pay off.

Some users upload pictures of the check's they earn to show you really can make significant cash. We saw users who had raked in more than $100.

They say "time is money," so if you have the spare time to make money, online surveys could be something you want to check out.

You can follow all of Marcella's reports from her series "Ways to Make Quick Cash" at cbs8.com/yourmoney.
