Newborn baby "surrendered" at Oceanside fire station

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - It has happened again. For the second time in the past 18 months, a woman has surrendered her newborn child to an Oceanside fire station.

It happened Sunday at Fire Station 5 on North River Road.

In this News 8 video story, Jeff Zevely has more on how it's legal for parents to drop off their newborn babies at most fire stations and all hospitals without fear of prosecution.
