Tempers flare at rallies surrounding Israel-Gaza conflict

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Tensions over Middle-Eastern conflict are being felt here at home. Hundreds of local Israelis and Palestinians rallied in the UTC area on Sunday.

Pro-Israel demonstrators called for an end to the violence they say has been escalated by the militant group, Hamas.

Palestinian supporters say Israeli retaliation is to blame. But both groups ultimately called for peace.

Israel began its offensive strike against Hamas on Wednesday.
