COLLEGE HEIGHTS (CNS) - A woman was accosted at gunpoint near San Diego State University campus early Saturday, and police called it an attempted kidnapping.
A suspect in a vehicle approached a woman in the 5800 block of Lindo Paseo at 12:18 a.m., police said.
"The suspect displayed a black handgun and told the victim to get into the car," police said.
The woman refused and fled. Police said the suspect was last seen heading toward College Avenue. The victim was not injured.
The suspect was described as a clean-shaven, white male with short blonde hair and rectangular-shaped glasses, 6 feet 1 inches tall and 30 to 40 years old. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans, a tan jacket and possibly white shoes.
The suspect may have been driving a black Ford F-150, police said.
